BRC achieves highest industry approvals

Once again, leading St Albans car repair centre, Brian Robson Coachworks, has secured accreditation from the British Standards Institution (BSI) to hold the Kitemark for Vehicle Damage Repair (BS 10125:2014+A1:2016). This prestigious certification demonstrates that a crash repair business has been tested independently and audited to ensure it meets and exceeds the appropriate standards of quality and safety.

In order to maintain the accreditation, two unannounced audits are carried out annually. In February 2018, BRC received an unscheduled visit from the inspectors and is delighted to announce that it achieved 100% conformity in all areas.

The British Standard – BS 10125:2014+A1:2016- focuses on four key elements: Repair; methods; people; and equipment and materials. As a result of this latest re-accreditation process, our customers have peace of mind that Brian Robson Coachworks continues to demonstrate the highest levels of excellence within the collision repair industry.

By continuing to meet the rigorous standards of the BSI Kitemark for Vehicle Damage Repair, Brian Robson Coachworks in St Albans and Welwyn Garden City is able to prove that:

• Correct repair processes are always followed

• Staff are fully competent and trained to the highest technical standards

• Tools and equipment are suitable and maintained

• Parts used are appropriate for safe repair

• Quality control procedures are always followed

Commenting on passing its latest audit, Dean Marshall, BRC’s Operations Manager, said:

“To achieve the BSI Kitemark for Vehicle Damage Repair is very demanding in such a technically complex industry. Companies that do can be justly proud of their performance but the true test of how good you are comes from passing the unscheduled audits. Brian Robson Coachworks St Albans and Welwyn has demonstrated that it continues to be at the top of its game in the collision repair business and the results of our latest audit with 100% conformity is a testament to the ongoing training of our skilled team and the way in which we manage the whole repair process. This sends a clear message to our customers that they are always in professional and safe hands when they entrust their vehicle to us.”

As well as achieving top results in its BSI audit, BRC also secured accreditation from Volkswagen Group for the 12th year in succession.
